Position Overview
bmp, CPA LLC is seeking an experienced Certified Public Accountant specializing in individual and small business taxation. In this role, you will provide strategic tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to a diverse client base. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of direct tax experience, advanced technical skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service. Key Responsibilities
• Tax Preparation & Review: Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns in compliance with current federal and state laws.
• Strategic Planning: Develop proactive tax strategies to minimize liability and support client financial goals.
• Client Communication: Serve as a trusted advisor—gather data, explain strategies, and resolve client inquiries.
• Tax Research: Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, integrating findings into client recommendations.
• Technology Utilization: Leverage tax software (UltraTax, Gruntworx, SurePrep) to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaboration: Partner with colleagues to share expertise and deliver comprehensive client solutions.
• Continuing Education: Stay current with industry trends, legislative updates, and best practices.
• Firm Support: Assist with special projects and other firm initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Licensure: CPA license (active) or actively pursuing licensure.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant tax experience, preferably with individuals and small businesses.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail abilities.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
