Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional CGI Artist to join our TEAM! As the CGI Artist we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as research new tech related to 3D high poly and low poly models, define CGI process and develop 3D interior and exterior architecture for product staging.
Primary Objective:
The CGI Artist is responsible for collaboratively creating high quality, photorealistic CGI renderings of Company products to be used throughout the Company's sales and marketing channels. This position will also assist with environment and image layouts. With an eye for detail and a talent for photorealistic asset creation, the artist works with a variety of 2D and 3D software packages to create photo-realistic images with superior texturing and lighting detail.
Major Function and Scope:
- Ensure timely delivery of all phases of creative work on 3D high-poly and low-poly models from conception through production, as directed.
- Stay current on all technology related to 3D and photorealistic imaging to streamline CGI development.
- Assist with defining processes and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop 3D interior and exterior architecture for product staging.
- Create a variety of organic and non-organic texture materials that will be applied to 3D models.
- Apply lighting and shading to properly represent the photorealistic quality of renderings; consistently display strong attention to detail and finishes.
- Render images in 3D forms from mechanical design to organic objects, and from photorealistic to stylized.

- Experience and Knowledge Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Media Arts and Animation, Interactive Entertainment, Interior Design or Interactive Technology or related field required
- Solid sense of three-dimensional design with attention to detail regarding organic texture layers
- Knowledge of 3D software including 3D Max, Maya, V-ray, etc.
- Strong 3D visualization/rendering skills
- Experience with various 2D and 3D CGI workflows and processes
- Ability to understand and articulate the elements of good photography to achieve quality CGI image
- Able to adapt quickly to ever-evolving technological and workflow adaptations
- Exceptional attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
- An eye for interior design and architectural structures
- Knowledge of how to inform product groupings with architecture, props, room composition, camera angle and lighting
- Understand and articulate the elements of a good photograph with ability to edit oneself to achieve quality standards
- Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement
