Clinical Lab Scientist/Quality Assurance/Safety/POCT

Reporting to the Manager of the Laboratory, thisposition is responsible for patient testing as a generalist in Blood Bank,Hematology, and Chemistry with limited Microbiology/Serology testing. QualityAssurance responsibilities include collecting, maintaining, and reportingquality improvement data to the laboratory and hospital-wide quality managementgroups. This position is responsible for safety activities, in-services,chemical inventory, and maintaining the quality assurance and safety manuals.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

1. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Medical Technology, or Biological Science preferred.
2. Completion of an approved internship or formal training program in Medical Technology preferred.
3. Expertise in all areas of the clinical laboratory.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

1. Current California license as a Clinical LaboratoryScientist
