Job Title:Clinical Registered Nurse β Plastic Surgery Practice
Reports to:Practice Manager and/or Surgeon
Location:Bryn Mawr, PA
Status:Full-Time
Job Summary:
The Clinical Registered Nurse (RN) in a plastic surgery practice plays a pivotal role in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients undergoing cosmetic procedures. The RN supports the plastic surgeon and clinical team in all aspects of patient care, from pre-operative consultations to post-operative recovery. This role requires a balance of clinical expertise, aesthetic sensitivity, and exceptional patient communication.
Key Responsibilities:Clinical Duties:
β’ Assist in pre-operative assessments, patient education, and surgical planning.
β’ Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments for in-office procedures.
β’ Provide intraoperative support, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with local anesthesia procedures.
β’ Administer medications and perform injections as directed by the provider, within the RNβs scope of practice.
β’ Monitor post-operative patients and provide discharge instructions, including wound care, medication management, and follow-up schedules.
β’ Conduct post-op calls to check on patient progress and document concerns for provider review.
β’ Support procedural photography, chart documentation, and patient records management.
Patient Care & Communication:
β’ Build trusting relationships with patients by providing education, reassurance, and emotional support throughout their surgical journey.
β’ Serve as the patientβs advocate before, during, and after procedures.
β’ Effectively explain treatment plans, expectations, potential risks, and recovery processes.
Operational & Compliance:
β’ Maintain accurate, up-to-date EMR documentation in compliance with HIPAA.
β’ Adhere to all clinical protocols, OSHA standards, and infection control procedures.
β’ Participate in the ordering and maintenance of clinical supplies and medications.
β’ Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment.
Qualifications:
β’ Required:
β’ Active RN license in the state of [Insert State]
β’ BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
β’ 2+ years of clinical nursing experience (preferably in surgical, dermatology, or plastic surgery practice)
β’ Preferred:
β’ Prior experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, or aesthetic medicine
β’ ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
β’ Knowledge of EMR systems and digital photography protocols

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 β 45 per week
