Cloud Systems Engineer II - HYBRID

As a Cloud Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, optimization, and security of our cloud-based systems.

Essential Functions:

• Design and Implement Cloud Systems and Infrastructure: Work closely with architects, product owners, and developers to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud systems.
• System Configuration and Automation: Develop automation scripts and templates for provisioning, configuration, and deployment of cloud resources to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization, tuning, and improvement to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Security and Compliance: Work with the cyber security team to Implement robust security measures and best practices to safeguard cloud solutions and data.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, networking, and applications.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, operations, product management and security specialists to ensure seamless integration of cloud services, infrastructure and applications.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create comprehensive documentation, diagrams, and guidelines for cloud configurations, procedures, and processes. Share knowledge and expertise with team members to foster continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years experience working as a Cloud Engineer or relevant skill set for Cloud Systems Engineer II.
• Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including virtualization, networking, storage, and security.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Azure Resource Management Bicep, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Expertise with Microsoft Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
• Familiarity with Web Server Technology such as Apache and Nginx.
• Familiarity with database platforms such as MS SQL, Postgres, and MySQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar software development and CI/CD platforms.
• Relevant certifications from AWS and Microsoft Azure are a plus.
