CNC Supervisor / Lead Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-orientedCNC Programmer /Supervisorto lead our CNC machining team. This dual-role position combines advanced programming skills with supervisory responsibilities to ensure the efficient and high-quality production of precision parts. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in CNC programming, machining processes, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities: Programming Duties: • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM). • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models. • Select tools, cutting speeds, and feed rates based on materials and job requirements. • Conduct test runs and make adjustments as necessary for optimal performance and quality. • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Supervisory Duties: • Lead and manage a team of CNC machinists and operators on the shop floor. • Assign daily tasks and oversee workflow to meet production schedules and quality standards. • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members for performance, skill development, and safety compliance. • Enforce workplace safety procedures and company policies. • Monitor machine usage, maintenance schedules, and raw material inventory. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in machining/manufacturing preferred. • Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC programmer, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. • Proficiency with CNC machines (mills, lathes, multi-axis machines). • Skilled in G-code, M-code, and CAM software. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems is a plus.
