Commercial Electrician

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical work within commercial settings, demonstrating proficiency in high voltage systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The Commercial Electrician will be responsible for installing electrical system such as switch gear, wire terminations, and running and bending conduit. Responsibilities • Install electrical systems in commercial buildings. • Perform electrical installations according to the National Electrical Code (NEC). • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. • Conduct tests using an ohmmeter to ensure proper functioning of electrical components. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for installation projects. • Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure efficient project completion. • Provide renovation services as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites. Experience • Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician or similar role within the electrical field. • General Electricians License a major plus. • Familiarity with industrial electrician tasks is a plus. • Hands-on experience with low voltage and high voltage systems. • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters. • Construction site experience is essential; frame carpentry or maintenance person experience is advantageous. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required for troubleshooting electrical issues.
