Bud Griffin Customer Support (BG/CS) has been providing quality Data Center Infrastructure Management and Support for over 50 years in the Greater Houston area. Our service company is expanding, and we are looking to hire qualified service technicians who have a sense of ownership and take pride in their work.
Job Description
Bud Griffin Customer Support is seeking a Data-center AC service technician to service Critical Cooling Data-center AC equipment in Houston, Texas. This role requires expertise in precision cooling, humidity control, and energy-efficient climate systems to ensure continuous, reliable operation of critical infrastructure.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience in HVAC maintenance.
• EPA 608 Certification (Universal preferred).
• Experience with CRAC units, precision cooling, chilled water systems, VRF, DX systems, and economizers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and HVAC control diagrams.
• Proficiency in using multimeters, airflow meters, and refrigerant recovery machines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in high-stakes environments.
Work Conditions:
• Rotational on-call schedule
• Work in high-stakes environments with temperature-sensitive equipment.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks at heights.
AC technician requirements
• 5+ years of experience in commercial or critical environment AC Service & Maintenance
• Must have a clean background check & pass a Drug/Alcohol screening
• Must be able to pass a driving record check
• Professional Attitude and Punctual
• Must be able to legally work in the United States
