Job Description

The Compounding Lab Pharmacist is responsible for supervising all compounding activities in the compounding laboratory. In addition, the pharmacist performs various checks throughout the compounding process. The Compounding Lab Pharmacist supervises technicians and provides a supportive environment for accurate and efficient compounding of the highest quality compounded medications. The Lab Pharmacist demonstrates a commitment to the mission of the Pharmacy and goals of Belmar Pharma. Essential Elements of the Job: Strong comprehension of all applicable pharmacy rules and regulations Verify formula records, compounding records and beyond use dates Perform intermittent compounding checks as required Perform final verification on all medications compounded in the lab Supervise technicians indirectly Assist in initial and continuous training of staff Monitor work flow and collaborate with the team to make minor adjustments to address high volume areas as necessary Ensure compliance with Belmar Pharma Policies and Procedures Assist with technician duties in the compounding lab as workflow necessitates Maintains compliance with Company and HIPAA patient confidentiality requirements Performs other duties as assigned including, but not limited to: Assist with inventories, project work Requirements • Registered Pharmacist in resident state • Compounding and/or laboratory experience preferred • Excellent interpersonal skills • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office products, email, internet) • Good math skills are essential • Strong organizational, attention to detail and follow-through skills • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks on time in a fast-paced and changing environment • Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment • Demonstrates leadership by example in projecting a positive attitude • Obtain and maintain additional state licenses required by the pharmacy Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $130,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee discount • Flexible schedule • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Experience: • Compounding medications: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
