Construction Laborer

MID Construction Groupis a leading general contractor specializing in commercial and multi-family residential projects throughout California. Key Responsibilities • Assist with site preparation and cleanup, including stripping, grading, and debris removal • Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment across the jobsite • Operate hand and portable power tools (e.g., jackhammers, concrete saws, drills) under supervision • Dig trenches, set and strip concrete forms, and perform manual labor for concrete placement • Support carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other trades by holding lines, pulling wire, or carrying materials • Follow daily direction from the superintendent or foreman, ensuring tasks meet quality and safety standards • Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly store materials and equipment • Report hazards, incidents, and site-specific issues immediately to the supervisor • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned or delegated by immediate manager Minimum Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent • 3 years of prior construction labor experience (preferred but not required) • OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire (preferred but not required) • Physical stamina: capable of lifting, standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, concrete work, and site safety procedures • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to follow verbal instructions • Commitment to wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times Preferred Qualifications • Forklift or skid-steer certification • Previous experience on ground-up concrete or multi-family residential sites • Basic understanding of blueprint reading and basic construction math • Good communication and excellent collaboration skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Work Location: In person
