Consulting, Solution Specialist

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Solution Specialist in Raleigh, North Carolina and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Provide software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Provide support for all phases of the software development lifecycle utilizing Software Development Life Cycle methodologies for project implementation including preparation, business blue printing, realization, go-live, and post go-live support. Utilize major software platforms and create custom coding artifacts using various programming languages. Build, deploy, and maintain customized tools and software to modernize legacy application architecture. Evaluate technology needs, develop customized applications, and draft technical and functional design documentation; identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Research user reported issues with software applications, identify root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams.

15% Travel required nationally.

Telecommuting permitted.

Work location includes various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 1 year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

Position requires 1 year of related work experience in each of the following:

• Creating technical and functional specifications including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code utilizing Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, UML, and Star UML tool;
• Conducting unit testing of web services and web applications using Junit;
• Developing domain classes and database access methods by leveraging Java, JDBC, Curd repository, Hibernate , Spring Boot, MySQL, Oracle, and Spring Data;
• Creating web applications by employing Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Java, MySQL, RESTful Web Services, Azure, Spring MVC, and JavaScript to provide service and data to users;
• Developing applications through use of CPP, and creating interfaces with C#, Bitbucket, Docker, Jenkins, React, and multi-threading; and
• Designing and developing applications using Agile/Scrum, IntelliJ, Eclipse, Postman, GIT, SVN, Gradle, Maven, and SoapUI to meet functional needs for software applications.

Hours: M-F, 40 hours/week;
