Contentful Senior Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Appnovation is currently looking for an experienced and talented Developer with experience around Contentful, React, and Next.js, who is looking for the next exciting step in their career. The successful candidate will work on innovative projects that span our offices across the Globe, providing expert development skills within our agile cross-functional teams.

THE ESSENTIALS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, focusing on web development.
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Thirst for knowledge and a passion for exploring new technologies and development techniques as they emerge.
• Open-mindedness and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Eager to engage with an evolving tech stack, collaborating with other departments to create innovative solutions.
• Extensive front-end development experience.
• Strong knowledge of React, including experience with frameworks such as Gatsby and Next.js.
• Experience working with Contentful or similar headless CMS platforms.
• Proficient in integrating third-party RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript programming.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and familiarity with workflows like Git Flow.
• Good understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices.
• Familiarity with back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js) and full-stack development principles.
• Well-practiced in Agile Development Methodology, working in short sprint cycles, and capable of leading and mentoring other developers.

NICE TO HAVE:

• You are a Certified Contentful Professional.
• Knowledge of multilingual website development and localization practices.
• Experience working with Content as a Service (CaaS) platforms, Headless CMS, particularly Contentful, as well as traditional monolithic CMS systems.
• Familiarity with JAMstack architecture.
• Experience with search federation and integration tools like Algolia or similar.
• Understanding of personalization techniques and A/B testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in server-side scripting languages, preferably Node.js; experience with PHP is a plus but not required.
