Position Summary:

We are eagerly looking for a Controller with solid GAAP knowledge, analytical skills and the ability to navigate in a dynamic environment. This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

This position will be responsible for not only the general oversight of the company finances but also will collaborate with the Executive leaders to give strategic insight. We are looking for someone who will be able to prepare, investigate and understand the flow and financial state of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial documents such as P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, business reports, financial forecasts and statements to understand the financial state of business.
• Analyze and project income statements/balance sheets and various other accounting statements and reports.
• Analyze financial records and complete reconciliations of financial components such as inventory, A/R, A/P, cashflow and general ledgers for month-end close process.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts by working with all levels of the company.
• Make recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, fixed assets and expenditures.
• Prepare, review and verify journal entries and acccounting classifications assigned to various records.
• Conduct special studies and develop recommended accounting methods and procedures.
• Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions.
• Supervise many of the daily accounting and support tasks of team members.
• Provide guidance, training and advice to team members.
• Ability to prepare and present financial results to the Executive Team/Ownership.
• Investigate numbers from various areas that encompass COGS, inventory, etc. to ensure accuracy in reporting and budgeting.

Requirements:

• Accounting or Finance Degree is required. CPA a plus
• Minimum of 5-8 years of related/relevant professional experience.
• Possess and apply a broad knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures.
• Possess high level of Excel skills, with the ability to work with multiple complex spreadsheets, pivot tables and data analysis.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management about the finances of the business and justify financial recommendations.
• Manufacturing experience preferred. Cost Accounting a plus.
• Proficient with ERP systems.
• SAP experience a plus.
