Controller / HR - Construction

Duties • Responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures, detail-oriented. • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports. • Ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. • Work with an external CPA. • Reconcile bank accounts • Process invoices and credit card statements. • Track accounts receivable monthly, and collection efforts required. • Good phone etiquette and customer service skills • Human resource management, including benefit enrollment, handling HR complaints/problems, hiring/termination protocol and paperwork, maintenance of staff records and personnel files maintaining employment records, working directly with all employees, and staying current with employment regulations • Working knowledge of construction Prevailing Wage guidelines • Working knowledge of Mechanic’s Lien laws • Maintaining the company's physical and electronic records, including contracts and agreements, accounting files, spreadsheets, and personnel records • Policy and procedural development, implementation, and updating Qualifications: • 2 year Associates Degree or equivalent work experience • 2+ years’ experience in construction field • Professional attitude and a positive team player • Foundation Accounting Program knowledge a plus • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook • Punctual and dependable Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday Education: • Associate (Preferred) Experience: • Construction: 2 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
