Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Critical Care Cardiologists to join our multi sub-specialty Cardiology group to provide complex cardiovascular care at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, about 45 minutes northwest of Atlanta.
Ideal candidates must be fellowship trained in both Cardiovascular Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
Wellstar Center for Cardiovascular Care is the largest and most comprehensive provider of cardiovascular services in northwest Georgia. The Wellstar Cardiac Network includes 10 hospitals and 26 office locations throughout metro Atlanta. With ove 90 physicians and 80+ APPs, our team provides care for the entire spectrum of cardiac patients from surgery, structural heart, EP, advanced imaging, complex intervention, all modalities of mechanical circulatory support including ECMO and advanced heart failure. We also have a very comprehensive research program offering significant opportunities. We are currently members of the Critical Care Cardiology Trials Network and American Heart Association Cardiogenic Shock Registry.
Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center is a level 1 trauma center with just under 700 beds and proudly provides world-class Cardiology care. Kennestone has a CVOR, a dedicated cardiac cath lab, a 12-bed CVICU, and an 18-bed CICU.
Wellstar Kennestone Hospital was the first in Georgia and the fourth in the nation to receive the highest certification in cardiovascular care – the Comprehensive Cardiac Care Certfication – by the Joint Commission and the American Heart Association. Additionally, the Society for Thoracic Surgery (STS) has recognized the Cardiac Surgery program as a 3 Star program for both Isolated CAB and AVR-CAB, putting the program in the top 4-7% of all cardiac surgery programs nationwide.”
