Custodians Needed

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of our church campus, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including both routine cleaning and specialized tasks.Must be able to rotate on Wednesdays evenings and Sunday mornings once a month to open and close. Must have a clean background and able to pass a drug screen. Duties • Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. • Conduct industrial cleaning and floor care activities to ensure surfaces are well-maintained and free of hazards. • Assist in facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly. • Carry out commercial cleaning duties in sanctuary, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards. • Serve as a porter by managing waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the campus. • Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly after use. Requirements • Proven experience in custodial or janitorial services is preferred, with skills in commercial cleaning highly valued. • Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is a plus. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary. • Able to rotate on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings once a month to open and close is a must. • Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm Job Type: Full-time Pay: $14.00 per hour Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
