Job Description:

SiFive is creating RISC-V based CPU IPs faster and cheaper than ever before by combining the best practices of rapid, iterative software design with the proven fidelity of hardware engineering. We are looking for a talented and driven engineer to work with our customers to evaluate SiFive’s products and develop customized solutions for them. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to customers (through the field team or working directly with them) to capture materials (such as traces) to evaluate SiFive products

• Work with internal teams to port, simulate / emulate, and project customer workload performance and provide feedback to customers

• Analyze customer workload performance bottlenecks. Provide feedback for optimizations. Work with customer and design team to develop custom solutions for performance, power or area improvements.

Requirements:

• BS or MS in Computer Science / Engineering field.

• Track record of successful customer engagements. Board experience and excellent communication skills. Ability to deliver customer training

• Strong foundation in workload characterization on simulators, emulators and/or silicon platforms to identify HW/SW performance bottlenecks.

• Good knowledge of computer architecture of high performance out-of-order CPU designs. Hands-on expertise with either HW development (RTL/implementation flows, verification/validation, backend flows, FPGA flows) or SW development is a strong plus. 

• Self-starter, fast learner, strong problem-solving skills
