As an associate Data Engineer at IBM you will harness the power of data to unveil captivating stories and intricate patterns. You'll contribute to data gathering storage and both batch and real-time processing.

Collaborating closely with diverse teams you'll play an important role in deciding the most suitable data management systems and identifying the crucial data required for insightful analysis. As a Data Engineer you'll tackle obstacles related to database integration and untangle complex unstructured data sets.

In this role your responsibilities may include:

• Implementing and validating predictive models as well as creating and maintain statistical models with a focus on big data incorporating a variety of statistical and machine learning techniques
• Designing and implementing various enterprise seach applications such as Elasticsearch and Splunk for client requirements
• Work in an Agile collaborative environment partnering with other scientists engineers consultants and database administrators of all backgrounds and disciplines to bring analytical rigor and statistical methods to the challenges of predicting behaviors.
• Build teams or writing programs to cleanse and integrate data in an efficient and reusable manner developing predictive or prescriptive models and evaluating modeling results

Will analyze support activity data provide analysis and work toward process improvements.

Expected Activities:

• Work directly with preferred vendors to update data make corrections and ensure monthly refreshes are completed on schedule.
• Maintain the governance dashboard by tracking expiration dates across SAP SRM and SAP Fieldglass.
• Send reports to internal stakeholders with alerts for upcoming expirations and trends.
• Ensure metrics are populated by Vendors monthly according to the MSA. Update each Vendor file with metrics that we are to provide to them.
• Identify areas of opportunity for allocation of Service credits and submit to IT Finance for approval.
• If approved follow up with relevant SOW owner to offer credits if accepted advise Vendor credits will be utilized via connecting them to the IT Finance liaison and that SOW owner.

1. Data Visualization & Reporting – Proficiency in tools like Power BI Tableau or SAP Analytics Cloud.
2. Spend & Performance Analysis – Ability to analyze procurement data for trends and opportunities.
3. SQL & Data Modeling – Strong technical skills for querying and structuring data.
4. Business Acumen in Procurement – Understanding of sourcing supplier metrics and cost drivers.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration – Effective communication with procurement finance and operations.

1. Predictive Analytics & Forecasting – Experience with modeling supplier risk or cost trends.
2. Knowledge of Procurement Systems – Familiarity with SAP Ariba or Fieldglass data structures.
3. Energy Industry Insight – Awareness of procurement challenges specific to utilities.
