Data Analyst I

Position Overview:

The Data Analyst 1 is responsible for the support of analytical processes and strategies that support the Siemens Healthineers Data Analytics team through the development/configuration of dashboards, automated reporting and data analysis that is both internal and customer driven.

Responsibilities: • Automate and create visualizations of key business metrics• Write production code to produce data infrastructure and automation of tasks• Ongoing development of ad-hoc and production level analytics, providing insights from data• Communication and consultation with partners at all levels • Provide compelling, engaging and persuasive fact-based arguments• Set clear priorities to optimally complete work tasks and allocate resources efficiently• Work in an agile framework and communicate progress as necessary• Travel as needed to internal customer locations (< 10%)

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other quantitative sciences • 2+ years combined similar work/advanced education experience• 2+ years of experience with Business Intelligence and Analytics tools such as Qlik, Business Objects, Power BI, or Tableau • 2+ years of experience working with large scale RDBMS tools such as Oracle, SQLServer, etc. and demonstrated aptitude in advanced SQL coding• 2+ years of experience with applied analytics, with the ability to integrate a multitude of data sources and provide a detailed and insightful output• Demonstrated knowledge of full suite of Microsoft Office tools• Demonstrated ability to work adaptively, functioning in both an independent function, as well as part of a development team• Proven ability to work cross functionally with stakeholders• Demonstrated knowledge of and familiarity with basic data warehousing principals and constructs

Preferred Additional Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:• 2+ years of experience working with cloud-based data warehouse, special preference given to experience with Snowflake• 2+ years of experience analyzing and interacting with large scale ERP solutions, specifically SAP.• 2+ years of experience and knowledge of ETL data integration processing tools, such as Informatica, Matillion, or Snaplogic.• Experience interpreting complex model results and present meaningful, client-ready business insight based on model analytics• Additional consideration given for demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency in coding complex algorithms in high level programming languages such as Python, java, VB, R, etc.• Special additional consideration given for an MS in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics or equivalent
