Data Engineer/Data Scientist - Associate Program

Introduction
As a Data Engineer/Data Scientist at IBM get ready to tackle numerous mission-critical company directives. Our team takes on the challenge of designing developing and re-engineering high quality and impactful business solutions using data engineering and data science tools and practices. You will use a mix of consultative skills business knowledge and technical expertise to effectively build data and AI business solutions into our clients’ business environment and achieve business results.

Your Role and Responsibilities
– Work with clients to implement data engineering and data science solutions across a variety of industries and projects of all sizes scope and clouds
– Focus on high quality delivery and client satisfaction and contribute to the growth of the business
– Conduct business / functional discussions understand clients’ business pain points and offer solutions leveraging IBMs relevant assets processes and methods.
– Design build and deliver tailored solutions for the business
– Provide functional and technical specifications and maintain overall documentation for the business
– Perform system testing and support user acceptance testing activities (user guidance troubleshooting)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
– Hands-on experience in Data Engineering/Data Science solutions
-Good understanding of SQL and relational databases
-Analytical skills related to working with structured and unstructured datasets.
-Good understanding and hands on experience in Python
– Understanding of testing fundamentals and hands-on experience in test cases execution
– Solid presentation and communication skills
– Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
– Growth mindset
– Fluent written and verbal communication in English and Greek
– Military obligations fulfilled (if applicable)

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
-Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement. – Have some experience in one or more of the following software/tools: Hadoop Spark Kafka Mongo Spark-Streaming Python.
-Experience in Cloud architectures and development tools Azure AWS Google Cloud IBM Cloud.
