Location/Division Specific Information

This role has global responsibility for the design, build, and implementation of a world-class finance data architecture within the Finance Digital Transformation (FDT) team.

Discover Impactful Work:

This position plays a key role in crafting and maintaining custom data architectures and systems to serve our finance organization as well as support our analytics, data, and systems teams.

A day in the Life:

• Write, test, and deliver high quality data engineering and data architecture solutions (primarily in SQL and Python)
• Work directly with the business finance teams to capture requirements and deliver innovative solutions
• Identify and prioritize technical risks, impediments and dependencies on the product backlog
• Integrate enterprise grade data products, services and analytics
• Design data pipelines
• Define, design and document data models
• Maintain and improve existing data solutions
• Share and align architectural vision
• Mentor junior engineers

Keys to Success:

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems or other relevant field.

Experience

• 7+ years of data architecture development using a modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or AWS. in an Agile environment
• Hands on experience with microservices and event driven architecture
• Experience interacting with software endpoints using HTTP, REST, SOAP, or similar
• Cloud and container architecture and services
• Front-end and/or data visualization experience is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Proven track record developing and leading data architecture
• Solid grasp of architecture version control and release management
• Demonstrated understanding of compute, network and storage infrastructure components
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Familiarity with databases (Postgres, MySQL, MS SQL) and AWS
• Object Oriented design
• Leadership, decisiveness, and ability to influence your partners to build and deploy software changes
• Attention to detail and interpersonal skills
