Database Administrator (Secret)

Your Role and Responsibilities

We provide operations and maintenance support for a mission-critical government portal. Duties might include the following:

• Maintaining and monitoring database standards and policies
• Supporting database design creation and testing activities
• Managing the database availability and performance including incident and problem management
• Performing database housekeeping such as tuning indexing etc.
• Monitoring usage transaction volumes response times concurrency levels etc.
• Identifying reporting and managing database security issues audit trails and forensics
• Designing database backup archiving and storage strategy
• Providing application back-end support for our users

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• IT computer science or engineering educational background
• Need to be proficient in structured query language (SQL) and SQL Server
• Understand coding and service management
• Understand Windows server management
• Must have an active Secret Clearance

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• AWS experience
• RMF/Dod Security experience
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills good communication teamwork and negotiation skills good organizational skills flexibility and adaptability
