Introduction
A Data/IAM Sales Specialist role (what we internally call a ‘Brand Sales Specialist’) within IBM Security means providing industry-leading solutions to help our clients face into the challenges of cloud security advanced threats compliance and privacy and mobile and remote security. It also ensures you’re continuously developing – personally and professionally – to stay at the forefront of industry trends and remaining as the trusted advisor our clients’ success depend on.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Data/IAM Sales Specialist you’ll work closely with clients to develop relationships understand their needs earn their trust and show them how IBM’s industry leading solutions will solve their problems whilst delivering value to their business.

You will be a natural at working with others you will collaborate with multi-skilled individuals across multiple IBM brands with exceptional sales and technical talent to identify qualify and develop ‘trusted advisor’ relationships with our clients. The results of which will persuade them to invest in our contemporary in our Data Security and/or Identity and Access Management offerings

Your responsibilities will include:

Professional sales development to grow business.

Blend technology sales expertise with technical knowledge for trusted client engagements.

Create plans to achieve new and reoccurring revenue for Data Security and/or Identity and Access management

Develop and maintain customer relationships with success measures such as NPS C-SAT and ARR
Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse set of people

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Ability to thrive in highly dynamic and demanding role.
  • Strong customer driven focus
  • Multiple years of Expertise in Data Security and/or Identity and Access Management Solutions
  • Strong technical acumen to align client needs with technology solutions to convey their value effectively.
  • Consistently meeting and exceeding sales quotas in complex technology sales
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills with a track record of influencing key stakeholders throughout the sales process.
Preferred Location: Northeast
  • Proficient in agile methodologies and contemporary sales techniques to drive agile and effective product adoption


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Multiple years’ experience working with Data Security and Identity Access Management products solutions with training across IBM’s security products.
  • Specific Security SW sales experience is preferred – both trans and annuity based.
  • Understanding of IBM financial and business controls operations.
