Job requirements

• Oracle, SQL Server and Postgre Assess the existing database environment, including data structures, dependencies, and performance metrics. Analyze data compatibility, schema mapping, and transformation requirements between source and target databases. Identify potential risks, challenges, and mitigation strategies. Lead a team of database engineers, and developers throughout the migration process. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members. Coordinate tasks, allocate resources, and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Oversee the execution of database migration tasks, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and data integrity. Implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to transfer data from source to target databases. Monitor migration progress, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed. Optimize database performance and efficiency during migration and post-migration phases. Tune database configurations, query optimization, and indexing strategies to improve performance and scalability. Conduct performance testing and benchmarking to validate the effectiveness of optimization efforts. Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, methodologies, and outcomes. Generate progress reports, status updates, and post-migration evaluations for stakeholders and management. Capture lessons learned and best practices for future reference and continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment and coordination. Communicate project status, issues, and risks effectively to all stakeholders, including management, clients, and team members. Facilitate knowledge transfer and training sessions for relevant personnel involved in post-migration support and maintenance. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data privacy regulations, and security standards throughout the migration process. Implement appropriate security measures, encryption mechanisms, and access controls to safeguard sensitive data during transit and at rest. Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation in database migration practices. Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in database management and migration.
