Job Description

Years of Experience• 5+ Years of experience in DB2 DBA on z/OS

Technical requirements• Ability to manage a multi-DB2 Data Sharing / Sysplex environment• Manage DB2 disaster recovery requirements and provide event support• Proficiency in DB2 Systems Performance Tuning and Capacity Planning• Proficiency in application related performance and tuning, access path analysis including extensive SQL coding tuning• Proficiency in the use of DB2 monitoring tools (DB2PM, Insight, OMEGAMON, Detector, RMF other)• Logical and physical database design skills• Knowledge and understanding of an SDLC development lifecycle• Working knowledge of application development/debugging tools (Data Studio, Visual Explain, etc.)• REXX, HTML and/or java coding ability
