DBA DevOps Engineer

Your role at Exness:

As a DBA DevOps Engineer at the Database Administration team, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our database environments. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Kubernetes (K8s) for Big Data Team, ensuring the deployment, monitoring, and logging of critical big data applications such as Apache Spark and JupyterHub and you will also be a key player in enhancing and automating processes within the DBA team, collaborating with infrastructure, network, Linux and other teams to integrate and streamline automation workflows.

You will:

Support Kubernetes (K8s) Big Data Team Cluster:

• Deploy, monitor, and maintain big data kubernetes cluster including Apache Spark, JupyterHub, and other related technologies.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of big data solutions.
• Implement logging and monitoring solutions to provide insights into cluster performance and to detect issues proactively.

Support and Enhance Automation Processes and Flow:

• Support and enhance automation processes and workflows within the DBA team.
• Integrate automation efforts with other teams such as infrastructure, network, and Linux teams.
• Ensure seamless integration and communication between automated processes across different teams.

What makes you a great fit:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Experience with RHEL based Linux systems.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS (PostgreSQL) - security, replication, backup.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python) and automation tools (Ansible, AWX).
• Experience with Golang will be a plus.
• Experience with other DBMS like MongoDB, Clickhouse and Vertica will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD) and version control systems (Git).
• Strong knowledge of Monitoring and Logging technologies: Prometheus, Grafana, Graylog, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
