DevOps Engineer

Finiata is on a mission to support small businesses to master their liquidity with ease and we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our small, ambitious and dedicated Engineering team with the freedom to work remotely.

Note: This position is fully remote as long as you are legally based in Romania, Italy, Portugal, Germany and Poland. You may be required to travel for business purposes (e.g.: participation in team building activities, professional workshops) up to 10% of the time.

You will be managing:

• The development pipeline currently hosted on CircleCI and GitHub Actions
• The environments currently running on Heroku and AWS
• The security and availability of our infrastructure
• The technologies to monitor overall health and performance
• Planning and managing improvements and extensions on all of the above

Furthermore:

• You assess and manage the migration to different platforms and technologies
• You manage access control to all operational and development systems
• You contribute to architecture reviews and assessments

We’re looking for someone that is excited about new technologies and collaborating with other engineers, who takes ownership of their work and wants to help us think about and design new infrastructure solutions and who is eager to learn and self-improve.

• You have professional experience in the field of DevOps
• You bring expert skills in AWS
• You bring expert skills in Terraform
• You have a good understanding of cloud security concepts
• You are experienced with container technology and orchestration (ECS / Fargate / Kubernetes)

Experience with:

• Scripting languages (Python, Bash)
• Development Tools (git, JIRA)
• Continuous Integration tools (CircleCI, GitHub Actions)
• Deployment and Configuration Management Tools
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, DataDog)
• PostgreSQL administration know-how
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Pragmatic problem-solving and strategic thinking

Nice to have:

• Experience with Ansible
• Working experience with Heroku
• Experience with messaging solutions such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Professional know-how of GitOps
• Experienced with Kubernetes
