Job Description
The DevSecOps Engineer will be the vanguard of First Resonance's cybersecurity, ensuring that our software solutions are not only powerful but also secure. As a member of First Resonance's core Engineering team, this role plays an essential part in maintaining our reputation for reliability and trustworthiness. This role will collaborate with Engineers, IT teams, and customers to integrate security throughout our software development life cycle, ensuring that ION remains secure at every layer.

As a DevSecOps Engineer, your contribution will directly shape our customers’ capacity to innovate confidently without the fear of external attacks. From conducting vulnerability assessments to fortifying our CI/CD pipelines, you will be our shield against cybersecurity threats.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Spearhead the integration of security into the development process, ensuring that all software solutions are crafted with security in mind from day one.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to detect, rectify, and prevent security vulnerabilities within ION.
- Take total ownership in developing, deploying, and maintaining security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanners.
- Conduct continuous security assessments and penetration tests, recommending mitigation strategies for identified risks.
- Educate and advocate for security best practices among developers and other stakeholders.
- Work in tandem with the First Resonance team to ensure that our product not only meets but exceeds the industry's cybersecurity standards.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- A strong background in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Proven experience in developing or implementing security measures in a software development environment.
- Ability to develop, manage, and deploy solutions in Docker/Kubernetes
- Experience managing secrets via Hashicorp Vault or similar
- Experience deploying solutions via Terraform, Helm, and/or ArgoCD
- Experience managing CI/CD pipelines via GHA or similar
- Experience with ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana for system monitoring
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security topics in layman's terms.
- Familiarity with security certifications (SOC2, CMMC, etc) and certification process
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages relevant to security tasks.
- Commitment to keeping up-to-date with the latest in cybersecurity threats and trends.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Certifications like CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
- Experience with cloud security best practices (particularly AWS).
- A proactive mindset with a knack for identifying potential security risks before they become problems.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a commitment to excellence.

Pay is based on factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity and benefits.
Pay Range
$150,000—$200,000 USD
