Job Summary
This role will develop departmental direction and strategy consistent with Southern Bancorp's own mission, vision and values and will work closely with Operational, Development, and Marketing staff/service in the department to develop and execute on quarterly goals. This role is responsible for communicating the goals and the progress on them to the COO and other senior leadership team members, so effective distilling of lots of data and information will be required. The leader will take ownership of the organization's mission and values while encouraging others to adopt them as well and balance deliberate decision making based on information and data with action-oriented decisiveness.
Responsibilities
- Help define short and long-term goals for TeamWALT and the interim milestones to accomplish those goals.
- Partner with the team to allocate resources for maximum growth and impact over time.
- Develop systems and data output to track and monitor user experience data.
- Use data to analyze progress and develop new or change products.
- Hire and manage an engineering team that can deliver on a budget and scope.
- Evaluate growth opportunities and partnerships both within and outside the organization.
- Build, manage, and develop high performing teams and individuals.
- Deploy a product marketing team to direct user-acquisition for all product(s).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Engineering, Management or Finance, advanced degree preferred.
- 10-15 years of experience managing technical teams, business, or line of business.
- Experience in Fintech industry
- Experience building successful relationships, both internally and externally
- Proven experience working with business owners and executives to explore new opportunities and solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead effectively through change and hire and develop talented people who can optimize organizational performance.
- Experience evaluating opportunities with regard to impact on strategy, brand, finance and operations.
- Experience driving high impact projects forward with minimal guidance.
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional projects between several different teams.
- Resourceful and diligent in research, with an ability to identify what needs to be done and how to make it happen.
