About this role:
The Director of Technology GRC will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive GRC program for the organization's IT environment. This includes ensuring compliance with all applicable IT regulations, such as SOX-404, SOC I & II, ISO, and various other Technology standards. The Director of Technology GRC will also be responsible for partnering with the Technology Risk Management team and supporting the wider organization in designing and implementing governance functions such as leadership and executive reporting and engagement, ServiceNow IRM adoption strategy, risk and compliance management committees.
What you get to do in this role:
  • Establish a new IT compliance and governance function to meet the needs of a new but important Technology GRC team within ServiceNow's Digital Technology (DT) organization.
  • Develop the wider Technology Compliance program and drive communication, socialization, and training to the wider organization.
  • Develop and manage new certification ingestion process for incoming Technology standards or regulations to meet US, commercial, and government/public sectors, as well as, global regulatory mandates to support business expansion and M&A activities abroad.
  • Drive efficiency in the compliance processes through automation, use of AI, and rationalizing of manual controls.
  • Develop strategy and steer implementation of ServiceNow platform adoption roadmap of Integrated Risk Management (IRM) module as a single-source-of-truth system for the company.
  • Establish the technology policy governance office to support the DT organization.
  • Oversee the SOX-IT portion of the ServiceNow SOX compliance program and partner with IA, Finance, Security, and other stakeholder teams in the annual execution of the program.
  • Establish and guide risk & compliance management committees and forums internally within the DT organization at CIO and executive SVP level to drive awareness, but more importantly, to establish rigor and oversight of internal operations.
  • Represent the DT organization in support of IT compliance efforts across the wider ServiceNow enterprise.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
  • 12+ years of related experience, with at least 5+ years of hands-on management experience in the Technology Governance Risk and Compliance field.
  • Experience with Government and Regulated Markets mandates including regulator management and interaction is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of certification and attestation programs including SOX-404, SOC I&II, ISO standards, HITRUST, Singapore MTCS, and Australia IRAP
  • Strong understanding of Federal compliance certifications and requirements such as NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to build out scalable compliance systems and processes for complex environments and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and guide product development and implementation of GRC tooling.
  • Deep understanding of GRC fundamentals, methodologies, and industry best practices
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a passion for making an impact.
  • Ability to work across the organization to evangelize and influence company IT compliance and governance efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface successfully with customers and engineering teams in critical and difficult audits and conversations.
  • Strong management skills, strategy, analytical, problem solving, decision-making; and ability to work under minimum direction.
  • Prior experience at a SaaS, PaaS or IAAS Cloud company.
  • Master's degree or related experience; certifications highly regarded.
  • Willing to travel up to 25%+ is required.
