Earthwork Estimator/Project Manager

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Works Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of construction management, and the ability to effectively negotiate contracts and manage costs. This role requires a proactive approach to project management, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Duties • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle. • Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for estimating costs and managing project documentation. • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met. • Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable terms. • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to safety standards. • Prepare detailed reports on project status, including timelines, budgets, and any issues that arise. • Foster a positive working environment by leading a team of construction professionals. Experience • Proven experience in construction management or project management within the construction industry. • Strong knowledge of construction estimating practices and cost control measures. • Proficiency in using software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for project management tasks. • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts effectively while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and clients.
