Job Description

Electrical Technician is a skilled professional who is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. They work with various types of electrical systems, including lighting, communication systems, and power distribution systems. Electrical Technicians are required to have a strong understanding of electrical theory and be able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. They must also have the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with electrical systems and equipment. The Electrical Technician must be able to work independently and as part of a team. They must have excellent communication skills and be able to explain technical information to non-technical personnel. They should also be able to prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines. We are looking for a skilled Electrical Technician who will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment. In this position, you will be expected to identify electrical problems, troubleshoot and diagnose issues, and perform necessary repairs. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all work is done in compliance with safety standards and regulations. Electrical Technician duties and responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems and perform necessary repairs • Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics • Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to optimize electrical systems and equipment • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices • Stay up-to-date with advances in electrical technology and industry best practices Electrical Technician requirements and qualifications • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent • Completion of an apprenticeship program or technical school training in electrical systems • Experience in electrical maintenance and repair • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics • Knowledge of electrical safety codes and regulations • Strong problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Associate degree in electrical engineering or related field Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Work Location: In person
