About the Program:

Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dependable Math Teacher to work in-person at our San Diego center. This is a full time role, with all benefits.
Instructional hours in between:
• Weekdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality mathematics instruction to elementary students using the Singapore Math framework, emphasizing mastery of core concepts, model drawing, and real-world application.
• Design and implement innovative, student-centered lesson plans that integrate manipulatives, visual models, and interactive technology to support multiple learning styles.
• Create a classroom environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and persistence in mathematical thinking.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including English learners and those with individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instructional decisions.
• Collaborate with colleagues, instructional coaches, and administrators to refine curriculum and integrate cross-curricular connections.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress, learning goals, and strategies for supporting math development at home.
• Participate in ongoing professional development focused on best practices in math instruction, including workshops and training on Singapore Math methods.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Valid teaching credential for elementary education.
• Experience teaching math at the elementary level, ideally with exposure to Singapore Math or comparable conceptual approaches.
• Strong understanding of math pedagogy, student engagement techniques, and the ability to make abstract concepts accessible to young learners.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for innovation in teaching and a commitment to continuous learning.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with digital tools that support math instruction (e.g., virtual manipulatives, interactive whiteboards, math learning platforms).
• Ability to foster collaborative learning environments and encourage mathematical discourse among students.
• Background in project-based learning or inquiry-driven instruction is a plus.
