Role Overview:
The Employee Communications Specialist helps keep employees informed and drives employee engagement across the organization. If you have excellent copywriting skills, an unbridled passion for collaboration, and a love for employee channels, we want to hear from you!
You’ll provide internal communications support to several internal departments, including our People Success team. You’ll write, edit, and prepare internal communications for team and company-wide distribution using various communication tools to keep employees informed, engaged, and motivated. You’ll also create and post content on our SharePoint intranet. Your ability to ensure that internal communication messages are consistent with internal style, branding, and messaging standards will be key to your success in this role.
This is a remote position; however, you will be required to be onsite at our Frisco, Texas office on an as-needed basis – likely 1-2 days a week, with flexibility around this. We will only consider candidates who are a commutable distance to Frisco and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
About the role:Â
• Develop and execute global employee communications to drive employee engagement and alignment with McAfee’s direction and corporate goalsÂ
• Work with all levels of the organization to develop communications for email, intranet, messaging platforms, etc., ensuring consistent messaging and branding.
Develop communication materials using variety of tactics: written communications, talking points, presentation materials, virtual meetings, video messages, etc.Â
• Assist with creation and execution of campaigns to boost employee engagement and inform employees about important People Success programs, including benefits, compensation and moreÂ
• Oversee content on employee Intranet, built on SharePoint. Help with other projects and rollouts related to internal channelsÂ
About you:Â
• At least 3 years (we’d love more!) of experience in employee or corporate communicationsÂ
• BA/BA/BBA degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or equivalent preferredÂ
• Experience with Intranet and web publishing tools such as SharePoint or WordPressÂ
• Proficient in email communication tactics and best practices. Experience using email tools (Staffbase, Populo or similar) preferredÂ
• Proficient in AP styleÂ
• Strong interpersonal and project management skills
