Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated End User Computer Engineer to join our dynamic IT Team at CoCreativ. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective technical support for our diverse lines of business, encompassing software applications, workstations, peripherals, and other IT hardware. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our company's operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, and ensuring a smooth workflow for all users.

Responsibilities

  • Build, deploy, and maintain computer systems: You will be involved in setting up and configuring computer systems to meet the specific needs of various departments within the organization.
  • Inventory management: Maintaining accurate records of all hardware components, including peripherals, tablets, monitors, laptops, and workstations, will be part of your daily responsibilities.
  • Effective communication: Collaborate with both IT and client teams to ensure that technology is functioning optimally and promptly address any issues that arise.
  • Infrastructure monitoring: Keep a vigilant eye on the health of the IT infrastructure and engage relevant teams or vendors to resolve any problems quickly.
  • Break/Fix support: Attend to and take ownership of break/fix requests, ensuring that problems are resolved efficiently.
  • Proactive maintenance: Work with other teams to develop operational best practices, implement proactive systems maintenance, and schedule downtime for maintenance purposes.
  • Testing and validation: Collaborate with other IT and engineering teams to test and validate newly deployed or released hardware and software solutions.

  • Experience: You should have 2-4 years of experience in desktop support, ideally gained in a fast-paced, high-pressure production environment. A track record of problem-solving on the fly in production/post-production facilities will be highly regarded.
  • Quick thinking: Ability to respond rapidly to technical challenges and solve problems efficiently, ensuring smooth production workflows.
  • Organizational skills: Strong organizational skills are essential to self-prioritize tasks based on production needs and manage schedules effectively.
  • Flexibility: You should be adaptable and capable of adjusting schedules based on production timelines, including providing after-hours support when required.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, including active listening, understanding user needs, and demonstrating effective problem resolutions, are vital in this role.
  • Proactive approach: Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards technology support, anticipating and preventing problems rather than just reacting to them.
  • Troubleshooting skills: Possess a detailed, methodical approach to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Technical expertise: Proficiency in Windows and Mac OS administration is required, and experience with VMWare is a plus. Familiarity with VFX tools like Maya, Nuke, Photoshop, ZBrush, Substance Designer/Painter, as well as knowledge of complex pipelines and distributed computer platforms, is advantageous.
  • Networking knowledge: Good understanding of networking principles and equipment, including switches, routers, cabling, VLANs, etc.
  • Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly.

Benefits

The base salary for this position is $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 annually. These numbers represent the low and high end of our salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
