Engine Field Service Technician - Level I - Khouribga

We are looking for a talented Engine Field Service Technician to join our team specializing in Services, Maintenance and Diagnostics for our Service Operations Department in Khouribga, Morocco.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

• Efficient Maintenance and Repairs: By completing preventative maintenance and basic repair activities on engines and related components with minimal direction, you ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
• Customer Engagement: Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner ensures their needs are met promptly and efficiently, enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Technical Expertise: Applying specialized tools and following documented procedures to diagnose and complete repairs ensures high-quality service and minimizes downtime.
• Issue Escalation: Escalating unresolved issues to more experienced technicians or supervisors ensures that complex problems are addressed effectively, maintaining service standards.
• Scheduled Maintenance: Performing preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards helps in preventing unexpected breakdowns and maintaining operational efficiency.
• Accurate Documentation: Completing required documentation such as service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims ensures accurate record-keeping and compliance with business processes.
• Continuous Learning: Completing training in line with skill and business requirements keeps you updated with the latest techniques and standards, enhancing your professional growth.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislations promotes a safe working environment and compliance with regulations.

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred).
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
• Locally valid driving permit.
• Minimal level of workshop related experience required.
• Fundamental understanding and/or practical experience with engine products.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

• Strong Diagnostic Skills: Ability to translate customer complaints into a troubleshooting plan, use specialized tools and software to isolate and repair failed components, and document the results for payment and historical tracking.
• Electrical and Mechanical Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of Cummins and industry standards, apply electrical theories and mechanical principles safely and efficiently, and comply with all safe work procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
• Proficiency with Electronic Service Tools: Identify and utilize the appropriate hardware and software tools for service events, interpret electronic tool results, and determine the next steps for service resolution.
• Product Repair and Maintenance Expertise: Repair and maintain mechanical/electrical products following guidelines, use required tools within standard repair time, inspect and replace parts to minimize customer costs, and perform progressive damage checks to restore products to pre-failure condition.
