Enterprise Cloud Architect

QuantHealth is a dynamic startup dedicated to accelerating the delivery of new treatments to patients by developing an AI platform that simulates and predicts the outcomes of clinical trials. Our cutting-edge AI aims to revolutionize the healthcare industry by reducing the time and cost associated with traditional trial processes. What sets us apart is our unique ability to integrate vast amounts of patient data and leverage biological insights within our machine learning models, allowing us to predict clinical trial outcomes with a high degree of accuracy.

As we embark on a strategic transition, expanding our software from in-house to global pharma enterprises, we are looking for a seasoned Architect to lead this transformation. This individual will oversee the transition of our platform to cloud-agnostic readiness and facilitate SOC2 compliance. In addition, they will enable effortless deployments into major cloud ecosystems and ensure seamless integration with both client environments and vendor systems. The architect will play a crucial role in positioning our platform as the backbone of next-generation federated data systems. This is a hands on role which requires extensive expertise in software architecture and development. 

Responsibilities:

• Enterprise-Ready Platform
  
  • Drive initiatives to make our platform enterprise-ready, considering scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement features that meet enterprise-level requirements.
• Cloud-Agnostic Platform
  • Spearhead the architectural design, emphasizing cloud-agnostic approaches, to support deployment within a variety of pharma cloud environments. 
  • Design and coordinate the integration process for interfacing with customer and vendor systems, ensuring a cohesive data flow and system interoperability.
• Technical Integration with AWS Marketplace
  
  • Oversee technical integration processes with AWS Marketplace.
  • Collaborate with the technical teams to optimize and enhance our presence on AWS Marketplace.
• Regulatory Compliance
  
  • Lead efforts to ensure regulatory compliance, particularly with SOC 2 standards.
  • Collaborate with all teams to implement and maintain compliance measures.
• Security in Platform
  
  • Develop and implement robust security measures to safeguard our platform against potential threats.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in cybersecurity to continuously enhance platform security.
• Leadership & Collaboration
  
  • Lead technical discussions with customers, gathering requirements and translating them into effective cloud architecture strategies.
  • Offer strategic vision and communicate highly technical concepts to stakeholders at various levels, advocating for architectural decisions that align with business goals.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a leadership role with a focus on cloud solutions, enterprise security, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of SOC 2 compliance and prior involvement in achieving successful audits within a technology environment.
• Extensive experience with AWS and technical integration with AWS Marketplace.
• Solid background in cybersecurity and implementing security measures in complex environments.
• History in architectural roles with direct exposure to cloud infrastructure, enterprise software integration, and federated data systems. 
• Strong command over cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, with a particular focus on building cloud-agnostic solutions.
• Exceptional knowledge of secure, scalable software architecture principles in the cloud, and good familiarity with data and AI systems and practices. 
• Excellent understanding of modern CI/CD practices, infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation), and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes). 
• Effective communication and leadership skills, mentoring abilities, and a collaborative spirit, guiding teams through complex technical challenges.

• Written in TypeScript and Python
• Deployed to AWS, Vercel, RDS and Databricks
