Entry Level Networking, Systems, and Security Engineer

EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level Network/System in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.
Responsibilities:

• Implementation of system improvements for HughesNet networks.
• Generate/provide status reports, provide network anomaly analysis, work engineering testing/changes/upgrades, and security vulnerabilities.
• Implement Linux servers, VMWare hosts, NetApp, NTP servers develop and implement new networking technologies.
• Work with the IT and Security organizations to implement best practices in the North America Division Network Engineering and Operations domains.
• Analyze internal processes and components for security compliance.
• Provide on-call support for Consumer networks.
• Support and troubleshooting and support of the HughesNet NOC.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or similar field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Windows and Linux system administration concepts and tools
• Experience with computer system or network builds or troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Cisco, Fortinet and/or other Routing/Firewall platforms

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $64,000.00 - $80,000.00
