Entry-Level Staff Accountant

Premier Service is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Headquarters in Oak Brook! Premier Service provides elite landscape architecture design and snow removal services to commercial and residential clients across Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana. We are looking for a detail-oriented and organizedEntry-Level Staff Accountantto join our finance team. This role is perfect for someone looking to build a strong foundation in accounting while supporting a company dedicated to creating beautiful and sustainable outdoor spaces. You will assist with financial transactions, reporting, and compliance to ensure smooth operations across our projects. Key Responsibilities: • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments and client invoicing. • Process journal entries and ensure accuracy in financial transactions related to landscaping contracts. • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts. • Collaborate with senior staff and finance manager on audits and forecasting. • Assist with financial reporting for landscaping projects, including tracking costs and revenue. • Help prepare tax filings, including sales tax and contractor-related compliance. • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry accounting standards. Job Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks). • Familiarity with job costing and project-based accounting is a plus. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
