Entry Level - Tester

Introduction
As a Test Specialist at IBM your analytical and technical skills will directly impact the quality of the software we create. Your Role and Responsibilities
At IBM we know technology. But technology is only as good as the results it delivers. Are you interested and adept in application development methodology and tools? The IBM Client Innovation Centre (CIC): Monroe occupies a unique position in the IT marketplace – at the intersection of business and technology.
In this role you’ll work in our IBM Client Innovation Center (CIC) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world.​ These delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
As a member of our team you will help IBM clients solve some of their most challenging business problems capitalize on market opportunities and achieve real value in today’s tough economy.

These positions are anticipated to begin in January 2025.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Candidates must:

• Have an Associate’s Degree College Diploma Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree by date of employment
• Be willing and able to live and work in Monroe with some travel anticipated
• Have a sense of urgency in satisfying project deliverables for client success

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

• You have the ability to work in an Agile collaborative environment to understand requirements code and/or test innovative applications and/or support those applications for our highly valued customers
• You are great at solving problems debugging troubleshooting and/or implementing solutions to technical issues
• You have basic knowledge or hands on experience in coding with at least one of the following technology areas: C++ C Java JavaScript Angular React Python SQL ASP .NET
• You have an understanding of the software development life cycle
• You have an understanding of software testing
• Good communication skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience with writing test cases (what to test expected result steps to test)
• Experience with writing and/or executing test scripts
• Exposure to automated testing software (i.e. Cucumber Selenium etc.)
