Summary of Role: Development and qualification of eNVM (STT-MRAM, RRAM) devices and bit cells for FinFET and FDSOI technologies in close cooperation with other GLOBALFOUNDRIES departments. You will physically work in Malta, cooperate with global organization, and will report to the global eNVM device manager in Dresden, Germany.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Definition of eNVM bit cell layout.
• Definition of eNVM device test sturctures and eNVM array content in close cooperation with the respective design teams.
• Definition of test programs for WET testing and array characterization in close cooperation with the respective test and yield teams. Support of the bring-up of MRAM characterization tools.
• Electrical evaluation of different eNVM bit cell variants including access FETs and memory device.
• Driving process decisions based on this evaluation in close cooperation with the Fab 8 (Malta) Integration and yield teams.
• Definition and characterization of program/ erase algorithms to optimize eNVM bit cell figure of merits (read speed, leakage, read margin, write margin, retention, endurance, ).
• Cooperation with the compact modeling team to create and validate SPICE models for the eNVM bit cell and memory devices.
• Cooperation with the reliability team to define reliability characterization procedures.

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
• Close cooperation with the PDK team for MRAM enablement.
• Customer communication as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Education - Minimum requirement is a Bachelor's degree in microelectronics or physics or similar subjects with an emphasis on NVM memory bit cells, devices
• Experience - Minimum Years of 2 5 years of industry experience in the field of eNVM devices depending on the highest degree.
• Skills - Proficient in development of NVM (MRAM, RRAM) bit cells, including their characterization and optimization. Excellent understanding of the manufacturing process steps determining the electrical performance of NVM bitcells. Practical experience of the device characterization of NVM bitcells, memory devices, and access devices. Good understanding of the process flow of sub 2x nm silicon manufacturing processes, ideally based on FinFET technologies. Experienced user of standard data evaluation tools. Advanced user of Microsoft Office Tools. Excellent presentation skills
• Travel - Up to 10%
• Fluency in English Language - written & verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education - Master's degree or Ph.D. degree in microelectronics, physics, or similar subjects.
• Experience - Ph.D. degree with 2+ years of industry experience. Strong device knowledge on NVM memory device such as STT-MRAM and/or RRAM.
• Skills - Knowledge about FDSOI technology and devices. Proficiency in the use of tools like spotfire or JMP for data analysis.
• Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning & organizational skills.

Expected Salary Range

$91,600.00 - $170,000.00
