Health Catalyst has a world-class marketing team focused on educating, engaging, and changing healthcare. Our team manages a variety of marketing programs, including our signature fall event - the Healthcare Analytics Summit (HAS). This event, which drew over 1000 registrations from health system leaders from across the world in 2022, will be the primary focus of the internship.

It is a requirement to be available the week of HAS, September 13 - September 15. Most university semesters will have started, and we can be flexible with work hours in the weeks prior. But we need to count on interns to make HAS their priority that week.

Specific duties related to HAS include: assisting with attendee registration, tracking speaker assignments, managing logistics for various activities, ordering/tracking items to be shipped, brainstorming creative ideas for gifts and prizes, reporting the status of projects to the broader team, handling conference registrations and lodging lists, and driving registrations through email, texts, and other outreach to potential attendees. Because we strive for data-informed decisions, we need interns who are good with Excel and can compile, organize, and analyze information into recommendations for program improvements.

In addition to HAS, interns may be asked to help support other marketing programs including webinars, market research, demand generation campaigns, regional events, budget tracking, and cleaning lead data.

Interns are an integral part of the HAS team. In order to deliver a world-class experience, we are looking for teammates with excellent organization skills, attention to detail, self-prioritization, calculated decision-making, and a continuous desire to learn and do hard things. We have a lot of fun but take our role to help transform healthcare seriously.

What you'll own:
  • Assist with the planning, tracking, and execution of the Healthcare Analytics Summit.
  • Regularly report on work and prioritize new requests.
  • Support the execution of marketing campaigns in close coordination with marketing program managers and leadership.
  • Occasionally assist with creating Health Catalyst and Healthcare Analytics Summit marketing materials and presentation products.
  • Provide a positive customer experience through various platforms

Who you are:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree program.
  • Alignment with Health Catalyst Cultural Attributes: Continuous Learning, Hardworking, Humble, and World-Class.
  • Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail.
  • Team player with an ability to self-manage various responsibilities.
  • A creative mindset to tackle tasks in innovative, fun, and efficient ways.
  • Deadline-motivated delivery of results.
  • Exceptional listening and oral communication to effectively articulate research and assist with creating marketing materials.
  • Patience and determination to work through occasional tedious tasks for the good of all marketing programs.
  • Openness to change and flexibility when balancing multiple priorities
  • Previous event marketing experience or pursuing an event-related and/or marketing degree.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Smartsheet, Salesforce, Pardot, and PowerPoint.

The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job function. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, and indeed additional responsibilities may be assigned by Health Catalyst.

Studies show that candidates from underrepresented groups are less likely to apply for roles if they don't have 100% of the qualifications shown in the job posting. While each of our roles have core requirements, please thoughtfully consider your skills and experience and decide if you are interested in the position. If you feel you may be a good fit for the role, even if you don't meet all of the qualifications, we hope you will apply. If you feel you are lacking the core requirements for this position, we encourage you to continue exploring our careers page for other roles for which you may be a better fit.
