What You’ll Do
As Executive Sous Chef, you’ll play a critical leadership role in our culinary team, helping to lead day-to-day kitchen operations with a focus on a la carte dining. You’ll work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure exceptional food quality, smooth service, and a strong team culture built on standards and mentorship.
• Lead and support daily a la carte service with consistency and high standards
• Supervise, train, and mentor cooks and kitchen staff with professionalism and care
• Expedite service during busy meal periods and ensure flawless plate presentation
• Assist in menu development for both restaurant and banquet offerings
• Support banquet and event execution from prep through service
• Collaborate on scheduling, station assignments, and shift supervision
• Uphold food safety, sanitation, and allergy protocol compliance
• Participate in weekly event meetings and align with front-of-house leadership
• Assist with ordering, inventory, and cost control processes
• Lead by example in energy, composure, and commitment to excellence
What You Bring
• 5+ years of progressive kitchen experience, with at least 3 years in a sous chef or leadership role
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proven ability to lead with a calm, supportive, and accountable presence
• Knowledge of modern cooking techniques and dietary accommodations
• Experience in private clubs, fine dining, or hospitality-driven kitchens is a plus
• High standards for food quality, cleanliness, and team collaboration
