As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Mason to join our skilled team. Job Description: As an Experienced Mason at Catania Masonry, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects, contributing your expertise in the field of masonry. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Bricklaying and Masonry Work: Execute precision brick and block laying, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in alignment and leveling. - Repair and Restoration: Conduct repairs and restoration work on existing structures, employing knowledge of various masonry materials and techniques. - Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret and work from construction drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements. - Material Handling: Efficiently handle and organize masonry materials, including bricks, blocks, mortar, and other necessary supplies. - Quality Control: Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards. - Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, including laborers and foremen, to achieve project goals within specified timelines. Requirements To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements: - Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in masonry work, with a proven track record of successful projects. - Certifications: Possess relevant certifications and licenses required for masonry work in the state of Pennsylvania. - Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions. - Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of masonry materials, construction methods, and safety protocols. - Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and precision in executing masonry work to meet quality standards. - Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members and communicate project updates. - Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve on-site, adapting to unforeseen challenges. - Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license for commuting to various job sites.
