Day Shift: 5:45am-5:45pm, Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday
Night Shift: 5:45pm-5:45am, Sunday-Tuesday and every other Saturday
JOB DUTIES:
β’ Set up and operate extrusion lines
β’ Read and follow work order directions
β’ Change resin name and percentage on blenders for mono line and co-ex
β’ Bring up extrusion lines without assistance
β’ Adjust air rings to stabilize bubbles and gauge
β’ Adjust temperature profile for different resin formulas
β’ Change over, start up, and shut down properly and in a timely manner
β’ Troubleshoot corona treaters and adjust accordingly
β’ Know when the appearance of film is good or bad. EX: die lines, melt fracture, etc.
β’ Know winder functions
β’ Troubleshoot chiller system (start up in case of power failure); adjust temperature on chill rolls
β’ Perform and operate quality control equipment
β’ Operate and troubleshoot DCU
β’ Troubleshoot resin pump and hoppers for extrusion lines
β’ Navigate and troubleshoot extrusion computer system on extrusion lines
β’ Read level pounds on silos
β’ Know the difference between the various resins and additives and effects each one has on the product/production
β’ Troubleshoot recotrim machine
β’ Unload railcars; troubleshoot resin unloading system for rail cars
β’ Store material on racks
β’ Possess basic troubleshooting skills to ensure good quality products and maintain the machine at standard speed.
β’ Understand and achieve quality, productivity and scrap goals
β’ Communicate open issues that affect quality and productivity with maintenance
β’ Perform other related duties as directed by the appropriate party, including but not limited to housekeeping and assisting other employees in the performance of their jobs.
β’ Work in a team environment and conduct yourself in a professional manner when working with other employees and/or contractors.
β’ Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) are being followed on a daily basis.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
β’ High school diploma or equivalent and/or 5 years' experience
β’ Basic computer skills
β’ Ability to do basic math
β’ Ability to read tape measure
ABILITIES REQUIRED:
β’ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
β’ Ability to stand for long periods on hard surfaces
β’ Ability to climb 60 feet
β’ Ability to perform in an environment that is not climate-controlled
