Porter/Groundskeeper

Position:Grounds Keeper and Porter Location:City, Texas Starting Salary:$15.00-16.00/Hour Reports to:Maintenance Supervisor Supervises:None Job Responsibilities: Overview:Responsible for maintaining the grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and other community buildings in multi-family residential apartments. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and involves hands-on assistance in various maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities: Meticulously upkeep grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and other community buildings. Daily removal of trash from office areas and the apartment community perimeter. Assist in preparing market-ready units by removing trash from vacant apartments (trash outs) before make-ready. Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager and perform assigned maintenance tasks promptly. Aid in cleaning available apartments and models. Support the maintenance team with snow removal (if applicable). Assist and contribute to troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, carpentry, and electrical problems. Report any maintenance concerns requiring repairs in available apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor. Qualifications: Prior experience in grounds maintenance or a related field is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a team. Willingness to assist with snow removal if applicable. Note:The Grounds and Maintenance Assistant role is crucial to maintaining the overall appeal and functionality of our residential community. The individual in this position will collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and contribute to the upkeep of the property. This is an hourly, non-exempt position, eligible for overtime as needed.
