About the Role
As our Fabric Assistant, you will work hand in hand with the Fabric Team along with Sourcing, Design and Product Development to both define and drive business through Materials.
We are looking for a candidate who will assist in the sourcing and development of fabrics, who will assist in the creation and maintenance of the fabric resource library to support seasonal inspiration as well as an archive of seasonal production fabrics and maintain a brand fabric database that is easily navigated by all functional areas.
Responsibilities
- Assist in entering and maintaining fabric information in PLM and fabric binders
- Manage receipt of new fabrics and file accordingly in fabric library
- Assist in scheduling fabric & supplier appointmentsÂ
- Assist Fabric Manager with special sourcing projects across all RM initiatives
- Assist in researching fabric trends by attending mill fabric appointments and local fabric shows with Manager
- Support Manager in following up with design, production, mills and overseas offices on outstanding fabric data to ensure on time delivery
- Assist in ensuring product integrity and other fabric issues by reviewing SSY yardage charts.
- Create seasonal color material and finished good chips
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a corporate coordination or support role, preferably in product development
- Demonstrable interest in materials and product development.Â
- Attention to detail and extremely organized
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines
- Strong communication skills with overseas and cross functional partners
- Basic computer knowledge, proficient in excel and company systems
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must be flexible to adapting business needs
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
- Positive and dependable attitude.

Salary range:
$55,000—$70,000 USD
