Job Description Summary:

The Financial Accountant is responsible for tax, statutory compliance, and general accounting activities.

This is a 15-month fixed term contract, ideally starting from January 2025 and is based in Macquarie Park, Sydney

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of tax calculations and compliance including FBT, GST, TPA and ITA
• Identify and report tax risks to ensure compliance with the changing tax landscape
• Assist with the implementation of controls, policies, internal and external audits
• Review and improve tax related work papers
• Support month end closing process
• Support various projects.

Knowledge & Experience:

• CA/CPA qualification
• Strong knowledge of Australian Tax Law and US GAAP
• Minimum 3 - 5 years related experience in financial or professional accounting roles
• SAP and JDE
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite, in particular Excel
• Attention to detail
• Proven experience in process improvement, working proactively and collaboratively.
