Finish Prep & Polishing Technician (Cabinet & Millwork)

Bellissimo Fine Finish — Pflugerville, TX We’re hiring a specialist whose core craft issanding and polishing—not general painting. You’ll prepare cabinet/millwork parts from raw wood through final polish to achieve flat, flawless finishes. What you’ll do • Raw wood sanding:flatten panels/frames, break edges correctly; species-aware grits (e.g., oak, maple, walnut). • Primer & sealer sanding:block/guide-coat to dead flat; eliminate telegraphing/defects. • Between-coat prep:denib/scuff for adhesion; cleanliness/tack protocol. • Final-coat prep:high-grit finishing (600–3000), dry/wet as needed for polish. • Buffing & polishing:compound/pad sequence to remove nibs, peel, micro-scratches; achieve target gloss onpaint and clear. • Stain-grade & paint-gradeworkflows; pore fill/grain management; sheen matching. • QC:light-line inspections, defect ID/rework, documentation. • Collaborate with spray team (we are aspray-onlyshop; no brush/roll). Must-have skills • Proven experience in cabinet/millwork preporauto refinish color-sand & polish. • Confident with DA + blocks, interface pads, abrasives (80–3000), compounds/polishes. • Familiarity with commonwood speciesand how they sand/stain differently. • Pace + precision mindset—move with purposewithout sacrificing quality. • Reliable, on time, able to lift/stage doors/drawers safely. Nice to have • 2K polyurethane systems experience;Kremlin AAAfamiliarity. • High-gloss polishing portfolio; wire-brush/ceruse exposure.
