Kpler is seeking a talented and motivated, senior software engineer to join our engineering team. This role is for the Notifications platform Crew at Kpler that develops software that provides real-time notifications for the global set of users of Kpler on all products. The team’s solutions help seamlessly integrating all Kpler products with the capability to notify our customers with what they need information about.

Key Responsibilities

• Notifications platform: creating the engine that will allow most Kpler products to notify important events.
• Integrating different datasets into the Notifications platform.
• Onboard Kpler crews on the platform.
• Actively participate in the creation of the roadmap.
• Design, Development and Deployment of the engineering work.
• Work closely with other engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in putting in place good engineering practices.

You'll be a match if you:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience with Scala, Java, Typescript, and proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Experience with best software engineering practices: TDD, clean code, SOLID principles, pair programming and software design patterns.
• Proficiency in relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes, including github pipelines and tools like SonarQube.
• Proven experience with Git and Docker.
• Be knowledgeable about one Agile framework.

It will be even better if you have:

• Experience in distributed systems.
• Familiarity with event streaming technologies like Kafka.
• Familiar with Hexagonal software architecture.
• Experience with other engineering fields such as Data Engineering.
• Experience with frontend such as VueJS
